AI and Data Sharing: A Love/Hate Relationship?

AI and Data Sharing: A Love/Hate Relationship? Online

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming research analysis, akin to prior innovations like calculators and the Internet. While AI enhances output rigor, poor inputs still yield poor results. Unlike earlier technologies, AI learns from stored data, raising unique challenges and restrictions in scientific research. Key learnings from this session will include: 1) Metadata is crucial, and 2) AI use in research varies from acceptable to inappropriate, and we’ll explore evolving policies from ICPSR and other providers to navigate these complexities

Presenters: Lynette Hoelter & Joe Saul

This webinar will be recorded, and the recording and slides (when available) will be available in the 2025 Love Data Week YouTube playlist at https://myumi.ch/XGe4p.
