Qualitative Inquiry: Centering Equity and Justice in the Research Lifecycle

Qualitative Inquiry: Centering Equity and Justice in the Research Lifecycle Online

The world’s wicked problems are complex, entangled, and persist even after years of  struggle against dominant and inequitable educational, health, economic, environmental, legal, and/or socio-political contexts. As researchers, we strive to foster critical change through research and professional practice that  bends toward societal equity and justice. Scholars can and must act with intentional qualitative research designs as we make purposeful and congruent (i.e., rigorous, quality, trustworthy) decisions.
This research presentation is for faculty, graduate students, and researchers  across fields and disciplines who are interested in  moving through the philosophy of qualitative research designs to focus on the practical  decisions researchers may make at every step.

Speaker: Penny Pasque, PhD. Professor in Higher Education & Student Affairs and Founding Director of QualLab at Ohio State University.
