This webinar will talk about the emotional stress in the journey of researchers in medicine and beyond. We will also try to discuss some strategies that listeners may find helpful to improve their psychological well-being.
The threshold for seeking help from a mental health professional will also be discussed.
The webinar will be useful for junior researchers as well as seniors who manage a large team to understand the various nuances of mental health at work.

Speaker: Dr. Soumitra S. Datta, Consultant Psychiatrist, Tata Medical Center, India
Soumitra is a consultant psychiatrist working in Tata Medical Center, Kolkata, India, and holds an honorary dual affiliation with the UCL Institute of Clinical Trials and Methodology, University College London. He has been a Cochrane reviewer for almost 2 decades. The recent review published by Soumitra and colleagues from India and Australia went on become a featured review of the Cochrane collaboration in 2020. His current research includes systematic reviews, psychological and social aspects of health, decision making and health communications. Prior to his current job he worked as a consultant at the Kings College Hospital, London.
